Just.missed: LFW Menswear Day

I was really quite excited about menswear day, as it is quite a new edition to Fashion Week. Yesterday I saw the exhibition spaces being transformed once more into new and exciting displays. Today I woke up rather ill. So to make up for missing menswear day, I'd thought I might add a couple of pictures of some of the guys I photographed earlier in the week.

I love this guys relaxed style, not to mention I LOVE his Prada brogues!!!

This is a such a simple monochrome look, it just looks effortless.

I really like this guys unusual use of layering, you can see the blue shirt just enough at the neck and cuffs.

Just.seen: LFW Day 5

The last day of Fashion Week before everything gets transformed for Menswear day tomorrow! Things are drawing to a close after this crazy week! I managed to catch one last womenswear show before I left tonight. I saw one of Aminaka Wilmont's first collections at Fashion Week way back in 2009 and so was very excited to see what they were going to do this season. I was a little bit disappointed by the first few looks they sent down the runway as I felt it was nothing different to the digital prints I had seen earlier in the week in many of the shows. However I was not disappointed for long as their signature deconstructed look soon emerged and finished the show off in style.

I thought I'd add a final round up of the street style photos I took before menswear day tomorrow. Enjoy some of the creative looks I snapped throughout the week.

Love this space nebular maxi and the fact it matches her hair.

One of the best dressed couples I saw all week!

I have totally enjoyed every minute of fashion week, even if I am totally exhausted! Excited for menswear day tomorrow before it really is all over!

Just.worn: LFW Day 4

As the sun was shining today I thought it was safe enough to rock my purple suede Dr Martens with a pair of faux leather trousers from H&M and a rocker tee of one of my friends bands, Shaped by Fate.

Another eventful day today. I spotted Samantha Cameron looking round the exhibition before quietly leaving at the embankment entrance. She was also spotted on the front row of a few shows this Fashion Week including Erdem, Christopher Kane and Burberry. I am a bit of a fan of the PMs wife's simple relaxed style, and her ability to mix high street and high end fashion.

I later managed get in to see the Todd Lynn show a mix of both womanswear and menswear with a simple, clean colour pallet and a mix of knit and tailoring. Check out some of his collection below.

Just.seen: LFW Day 2

I found myself dogsitting for Gemma Arterton's beautiful dog Purla, seen wearing the 'it' hoody at Fashion Week this morning.

Gemma later on appeared looking effortlessly cool in a monochrome tailored outfit and a bright yellow clutch at Burberry sat between Sienna Miller and Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
I do not own the above photo.
Another exhausted day over, yet just as exciting and chaotic as the previous! Managed to almost bump into John Rocha and managed to actually bump into Jimmy Choo who I asked for a cheeky autograph. =D I also caught a glimpse of the fantastic Jaeger show after directing the lovely Olivia Palermo to the BFC Catwalk show space.

Now writing a round up of the days events sat on the train watching the live stream of the Issa show, and I must say I am loving the tropical prints!!!

Just.worn: LFW Day 1

Day 1: Rocking my Piers Atkinson 'London' headband with the Margeila lab coat. Wearing  a H&M black jumpsuit and Topshop loafers.

I unbelievably managed to drag myself out of bed this morning, it had to be the lure of all the SS12 collections that compelled me to brave the freezing cold outside! Day 1complete and I am exhausted already! Found myself surrounded by a mass of press and buyers, it was all I could do to spot the designers, models and celebs amongst the chaos, yet I'm sure no one missed me with my massive happy to help badge, it was all questions and directions. Must sleep now, as tomorrow I must awake at the same unhumanly hour for the commute and I hope to snap lots of pics tomorrow.

Just.wear: LFW Margeila & Atkinson

Here's a sneak peak of what i'll be wearing for the duration of fashion week...

One Maison Margeila'esque' lab coat, MAC lipstick and an awesome Piers Atkinson 'London' headband. I'm hoping I can pull off the lab coat look, but its gonna be tricky... However I am in love with my 'London' headband, I fell i love with Pier's Atkinson's 'Anna's headpiece (inspired by Anna Pigalli, Anna Dello-Russo and Anna Wintour I believe) and now I have my own version! =D

Totally excited now, but cannot believe I am up this early in the morning writing this, bring on the madness that is London Fashion Week!

Just.worn: The Calm Before the Storm

This look for me equals the ultimate in laid back chic and comfort. Knowing I would be on my feet a lot during training I chose my Springcourts to literally give me that spring in my step. Teaming my Replay denim cut offs with a h&m black tee. Rocking my vintage gold aviators with my beautifully studded and completely bottomless bag. All I can say in this look is bring on the training!

I made my final trip up to Somerset House before Fashion Week goes live and it all kicks off. A last day of training to go over the final details. It was amazing to see how the courtyard had be transformed into the venue that hosts one of the worlds biggest fashion events. Teams of people had been working tirelessly behind the scenes preparing the exhibition spaces, the VIP lounges, the BFC catwalk tent, preparing everything down to the very last detail.

Fully briefed and issued with my uniform and cheeky goody bag, I only hope I can survive all the early mornings! (Although, just the mere thought of seeing all the best designers and the who's who of fashion provides more than enough incentive to brave my alarm clock for the next 6 days)!

P.s All will be revealed as to what I will be wearing for uniform soon enough.

Just.bought: New Suede Shoes

Dr Martens Classic Brogue

I have been intrigued by the growing trend of creepers and platform shoes as chunky soles were steadily creeping up inch by inch on the runway. It was not long before the high street followed suit and fully embraced the trend. Brands such as Underground (the original british punks) have collaborated with popular high street stores Topshop and Urban Outfitters creating new and exclusive designs.

Initially I thought these bold designs were a little to punk for me and thought about settling for one of the slightly more tailored wearable styles offered by Office . However being the dreaded half size, try as I might I couldn't find a pair in either style to fit! I had just about given up and started my search for another footwear trend when... I glanced upon this pair of Dr Martens. I knew I had to own them, I just hoped this would finally be my Cinderella pair. I tentatively asked the shop assistant for my size, my eyes followed her to the stockroom, disappear and then return, clutching THE shoes. I slowly laced each one up, they were perfect! I could not have been happier if Prince Charming had laced them up himself. I had found my 'glass slippers'.

Just.worn: My Lucky Day

Unfortunately I cannot claim full responsibility for the sun appearing after my interview or for the fact I correctly predicted the weather by gambling on shorts. I guess luck was on my side, as not only did I emerge from my interview into the beautiful sunshine, with a job. Only to be honest, this was only revealed after a nail biting bank holiday weekend of constant and religious email checking.

Once again I am back at Somerset House, this time for an afternoon of training. So today I kept my look relaxed. Teaming my white converse with rolled up sleeves on my oversized shirt tucked into a leather look skirt from Next. This time tucking my skull studded bag under my arm to complete the look.

I am so excited and cannot wait to start work at this seasons London Fashion Week, and what a week it will be!
